Day 2 of the jury selection in Vybz Kartel’s high-profile murder trial is currently underway.

IRIE FM’s Warren Bertram is in court and confirms to Music News that two of the jurors selected yesterday have been dismissed due to work and professional reasons.

The jury selection resumed at 2pm this afternoon and two more jurors have been selected leaving the juror tally at 9.

A 12 member jury panel is needed before the murder trial begins.

Vybz Kartel is jointly charged with fellow entertainer Shawn Storm, fashion designer Calvin Moonie Haye, and three others for the murder of Clive Lizard Williams. The men all pleaded not guilty.

Allegations are that Williams was killed at Vybz Kartel’s home in Havendale, St Andrew, on August 16, 2011.
