Voicemail drops 'Let's Dance Now' album

After years of waiting, fans of dancehall duo Voicemail are finally able to enjoy a brand -new project from the talented team.

Versatility is the name of the game with Voicemail, always evolving and being able to fit most niches in the music industry from Electronic Dance Music (EDM), R&B, Reggae and, of course, the music of their core audience - Dancehall.

Motivation for the Let's Dance Now album came from fans and industry players themselves, appealing to the area of the music that got Voicemail their first degree of popularity over 14 years ago.

"Dancing is definitely what fans, early on, knew us for, songs like Let's Dance and Jiggy Time Again. The dancers and the fans have been asking us for more of what they first fell in love with us for, the high-energy stuff, the fun stuff, and we are delivering just that with this dance album Let's Dance Now," Craig Jackson said.

Distributed by 21ST Hapilos Digital, the project features 12 tracks from various producers, from the excitingly popular Clap It Up, from Washroom Entertainment; to the brand new, Step, by Johnny Wonder; and Balance, by their Team Coalition Producer, Frankie Music.

Other chart topping producers on the project include Romeich Records, Birch, Ballaz productions, Dre Day and TJ Records.

Being a dancing album, one element that plays a huge role is the incorporation of actual dancers on the tracks as well as in the videos. Ding Dong, Dr Bird and Ovamars are featured on some of the singles.

Tributes to deceased dancers, Bogle and Ice, trendsetters the dancing scene, can also be found on the Let's Dance Now album.

"The album is high energy and fun because that is what dancehall and dancing is all about. Dancehall fans, female and male dancers alike, all over the world, now have a complete project to dance to," Kevin Blair said.

Fans can look forward to the Let's Dance Now album on digital- release platforms, January 14, with a huge release party at Limelight Nightclub in Half-Way Tree on January 15.

The video for Step, featuring dancehall selector Boom Boom and a slew of local and international dancers, is also set to premiere at the Limelight launch event.
