Short Boss Muzik is gearing up to release a new EP for incarcerated dancehall artiste Vybz Kartel. The EP which has been named Reggae Love Songs and Other Things is said to have been produced to show another side of the dancehall artiste who has managed to develop a lengthy catalogue of music.

A release sent to THE STAR stated that the EP comprises of 14 songs. It is predominantly social commentary based, and also includes reggae singles.

According to Short Boss Muzik, the label operated by Vybz Kartel's common-law-wife Shorty, Vybz Kartel's name will forever be embedded in the history of dancehall music.

"Music cannot be imprisoned,"a representative of the label stated in the release.

The compilation will be distributed by 21st Hapilos Digital and feature rhythms from producers such as TJ Records, So Unique Records, Bigga DonDon and Short Boss Muzik. Reggae Love Songs & Other Things will be available on itunes as of June 3, but is now available for pre-order.

Some of the songs to be featured on the project are Can't Call This A Love Song, Crashing Head On, Downtown Kingston, Love Mummy featuring PG 13 (Little Addi & Little Vybz) and Without Money.
