After his last stint in jail, most people in the music industry were ready to write off Ninja Man, but not Downsound CEO Joe Bogdanovich, who signed the deejay to a long-term management and recording contract earlier this year.

"Ninja Man is without a doubt one of the best dancehall acts of all times, and I personally believe he has a lot more to offer this industry, and he's proving that right now by making hits, and he's a crowd-pleaser. What more can you ask for?" said Bogdanovich.

To date, Ninja Man has scored two solid hits since signing with Downsound Records. The first one was the hard-hitting Dweet, which was a collaboration with Specialist. Now he's burning up the airwaves again with his latest hit, Ninja Mi Ninja, which is being touted by some critics as "the song of the summer".

According to Ninja Man, he is not surprised about his recent run of success.

"Ninja Man is no ordinary artiste, the whole world knows that, anyone who doesn't know that doesn't know anything about me or dancehall music. Check the history of the music, Shabba and Ninja are two of the biggest names in the business from the '80s straight to now. Making hit songs was never a problem, all I need is the right production team and people who believe in me, and that is what I have at Downsound, a real team, a musical family," said Ninja Man.

He also added, "Now that I have the right people to work with, I'm going to keep on making hits, so just look out for more Ninja Man of your airwaves. The best of Ninja Man is yet to come, believe me, this is just the beginning."

The music video for Ninja Mi Ninja is also doing well. It has been receiving heavy rotation since its release on a number of local stations, including Hype TV, CVM Plus, RETV, Links TV and E Plus. It is currently in the No.2 spot of CVM TV's Hit List Dancehall Chart.
